Why does my bank show a charge as “recurring” if I only made a one-time purchase?

Sometimes a charge can appear as “recurring” on your bank or credit card statement even when the workshop, Wizard, or training was a one-time payment.

This happens because your bank can sometimes make their own decisions on how transactions are labeled — but this does NOT reflect the nature of the actual purchase.

Rest assured that the payment itself is still a one-time charge on our end (you know...for anything that was a one-time purchase at checkout!), even if your bank labels it this way. The charge will not repeat after any interval of time.

If you’re concerned or confused

  • send us a message to double-check! We're happy to look into any purchase you've made to put your mind at ease
  • contact your bank directly, as they control how transactions appear on statements. They might more clarity why they decided to labeled it as recurring, even though it's not
