How do I install my Claude plugin?
Congrats on your new plugin! Setup takes about five minutes, and there's only one spot where people usually get tripped up. We'll point it out as we go.
Before you start: plugins need a paid Claude plan (Pro or higher). They work in Claude on the web and in the Claude desktop app. We recommend the Cowork tab in the desktop app (download it at claude.com/download), because that's where Claude can save each piece into a folder on your computer and pick it back up next time.
Step 1: Download it from your library
Head to your Wake Up To Freedom library and open the product you bought. In some instances you'll see just a Claude download. In others you might also see an option for ChatGPT. In your case (since you're in this question!) grab the Claude one.
(Using ChatGPT instead? Download the ChatGPT file and follow the PDF inside it. ChatGPT installs a little differently.)
Step 2: Unzip the download (only once)
Your download is a .zip file. Unzip it one time. Inside you'll find two things: a PDF of instructions and another zip file.
Leave that second zip exactly as it is. Don't unzip it. That zip is your plugin, and Claude reads it as one piece.
Step 3: Add it through the Plugins menu
In Claude, click Customize in the left sidebar, then open the Plugins tab. Choose to upload a plugin, then select the plugin zip from Step 2.
Here's the spot that trips people up: Claude also has an Upload a skill page. That page takes one skill at a time, and our plugins hold several skills each, so it won't accept them. Customize → Plugins, every time.
Step 4: Say hello
Start a new conversation and type what you want to do in plain words. Try "start a Mini Workshop" for the Mini Workshop plugins, or "set up my Email Engine" for the email bundles. The first wizard will say hi and ask you its first question. The PDF from Step 2 lists more phrases for your plugin.
If you see an error
"Zip file contains path with invalid characters" You uploaded the outer download. Unzip it first, then upload the plugin zip inside it (Step 2).
"Too many files" or a 200-file limit You're on the Upload a skill page. Use Customize → Plugins instead (Step 3).
Nothing happens when you open the plugin file That's normal. It isn't meant to open on your computer. Upload it to Claude through Customize → Plugins.
Still stuck? Email friends@wakeuptofreedom.com with a screenshot of the error and the step you're on. We'll get you sorted.
