How do I install my skills in ChatGPT?

Using ChatGPT? Great, your skills work there too. Setup takes about five minutes, and there's one step people sometimes skip. We'll flag it.

Before you start: install through the ChatGPT desktop app, signed in to the account where you want the skills to live.

Step 1: Download the ChatGPT version

Head to your Wake Up To Freedom library and open the product you bought. Grab the ChatGPT download.

Step 2: Unzip the download (only once)

Double-click the download to unzip it. Inside you'll find a PDF of instructions and one or more skill zips. Bundles come with several, one for each skill, and that's expected.

Leave those skill zips as they are.

Step 3: Add each skill

In the ChatGPT desktop app, open Skills from the sidebar and choose the option to add or import a skill. Select one skill zip, confirm, then repeat for every skill zip in the folder.

Here's the step people skip: each skill zip goes in on its own. The outer download isn't a skill, so ChatGPT won't accept it.

If ChatGPT asks for a folder instead of a zip, unzip that one skill zip and select the folder with SKILL.md inside it.

Step 4: Start a new chat

Start a fresh chat and say what you want to do in plain words, like "Set up my Email Engine" or "Audit this email before I send it." The PDF from Step 2 lists phrases for every skill.

To pick a skill yourself, type @ and choose the one that starts with [WUTF].
